About the Pontlliw Village Hall
The Pontlliw Village Hall is conveniently situated on the A48. Standing in the centre of approximately 1 acre of grounds, with a large car park accomodating approximately 50 cars at the rear, and a well tended lawn and flower beds facing the main road. (see exterior views)
The building itself occupies approximately 4,000 sq ft. The main hall being 52ft x 32ft and licensed for 220 persons as a closely seated audience, or 150 dancing. The hall can also be divided in two by means of an acoustic moveable wall, if required. (see plan) This also facilitates use by more than one smaller group at a time, each having their own independent entrance and separate facilities for tea making, etc.

The village hall is very wheelchair friendly with unhampered access from anywhere in the vicinity as there are pedestrian crossings with drop kerbs on all four roads with a gentle ramp up to the hall. All entrances/exits are level with the outside pathways and car park.
The stage measures 18ft 6ins from front to back and 32ft wide with a proscenium width of 24ft, it is complemented by a fully equipped lighting and sound system. The stage is in regular use by the village hall's own amateur dramatic group, the 'Pontlliw Players', as well as being the regular venue for productions by other amateur dramatic groups from outside the area, and of course 'The Mark Jermin Stage School'.
